Our classes and workshops are designed to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds and skill levels. Mindfulness is a practice, take the time for yourself. We offer workshops and classes on meditation, movement, writing and art.
Welcome
Hi, I’m Sharon, owner and instructor here at the studio. A local writer, artist, Usui Reiki master, and mystic mama. I created this space not only as my own creative playground, but to share with others the joy of creating when you lose the fear of doing it wrong.
My true passion is writing, but helping people find their voice, their passions, their sense of self, and quality of life through art, journaling and mindfulness practices, is a gift. It took me a long time to find my voice, to not be afraid to share who I was, and I am happy to provide a space for others to pursue their dreams by offering my time, my space and a no judgement zone community. My playground is yours.

A Creative Space for all ages. Use the studio and any materials you wish to unleash your inner child! From the basics, to beyond the basics we have everything you need to get creative.
Summer Art Club
4 weeks to choose from in July! Your child will have a blast creating at the Black Dove summer art club with a Saturday Art Show at the end of each week to show off their creativity. Each week will be mix of structured and intuitive creative art projects for a full week of fun.

Join us for a soothing and transformative experience in our Monthly Reiki and Energy Healing Circle, guided by Reiki Master Teachers, Sinead and Sharon. This sacred space offers an opportunity to relax, restore, and connect with your inner peace, as Sinead and Sharon share their wisdom and healing energy to support your journey.
Whether you're new to Reiki or a seasoned practitioner, this circle is open to all. Together, we will explore the healing potential of energy work, offering space for deep relaxation, stress relief, and energetic alignment. Through these guided sessions, you’ll receive a gentle yet powerful healing experience, helping you to release tension and find balance on all levels – physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Storytellers Social - A writing and music workshop and jam - Sunday 7/13 4:30PM
Step in to the Black Dove Studio's creative sanctum for a two part collaboration of creative writing, and musical composition.
Structure of the event:
First hour idea/poetry/lyrics exploration, starting with the cut-up technique and maybe deploying some other creative techniques.
Participants can either write on their own or do it as a team.
The second hour will be 'tuning' or 'noise making'.
No set songs or song structure, just loose jamming.
The jam will either inspire new lyrics or can be matched with some of the words we generated in the first part.
** At the end the group can do open mic, but not until we have gone through all the new ideas first.*** It is recommended that participants tape or record all their efforts and go back and listen to them later.
You don't have to play an instrument, bring one if you do.
Bring your voice, your open mind, and your creativity.
Let's make some music and magic!
Writing materials can be provided if needed.

Join Take It Easy Designs and Sanctuary Medicinals at the Black Dove Studio for a one of a kind, elevated paint night. Emily Burdett, muralist, artist and owner of Take it Easy Designs walks you through color theory and will guide you through a template drawing for a fun and relaxed expression workshop!
